The Comcast Corporation contacted us to for a corporate event to be held on their Center City campus outdoors in Philadelphia. Since this event will be held on their outdoors plaza at their headquarters, there were certain logistical challenges regarding the load in & load out variables. Once those were reviewed and a course of action was taken regarding these challenges, we discussed with Comcast what are their objectives for the mini golf rental experience. Comcast Corporation wanted a unique and a little bit challenging course to optimize as much throughput as possible since the event was going to be two hours long.
Our designers came up with a 6 hole custom designed course with a few holes presenting the opportunity of a hole in one and other holes designed in a manner where they were par 2 & par 3. Mini golf obstacles were added including the New Jersey Turnpike Toll Booth for those Comcast staff that commute into Philadelphia from New Jersey, a yellow Loop de Loop, a ramp with 4 bumps and the debut from our custom designed landmark series of the Golden Gate Bridge. Although this corporate event was in Philadelphia, attendees were WOWED by this new obstacle which has a span over 5 feet and made a straight hole a very entertaining as well as challenging experience.
During this 2 hour event, 191 players went through the course which from a throughput perspective meant the course was at full capacity from the time it was opened to closing. Comcast HQ was thrilled with the result and sent us the following comment.
"Just wanted to say it was such a pleasure to work with you for our event today! The onsite staff we’re so friendly and helpful, and the set-up of the golf course was fantastic. We received such positive feedback from our employees and leadership."
