In August at the request of NASCAR, we returned to Daytona International Speedway to create a 9 hole mini golf experience for the Coke 400. For this course, we provide six new holes with red turf which was a perfect color fit for Coke Cola and remaining three holes in the traditional green turf. Over the course of two racing days, close to 1,000 NASCAR fans were entertained & challenged to a new mini golf experience that they had not seen before as this was our 4th time to Daytona International Speedway since the beginning of 2024.
The branding we created included 9 branded flags, a branded putter stand, turf logos placed strategically on certain fairways a white stand that was branded on all sides and where the WAWA 250 race winner's trophy was displayed for a duration of time and for our NASCAR hole that we created in Chicago the back side of it was branded with a large marquee measuring 90 inches long and race flags.
The obstacles for this custom course design included a water hazard which surrounded the cup on hole 4, hanging miniature tires and coke bottles to putt through and around on hole 7, a sand trap with coke bottles to putt around on Hole 6 and a narrow strip of fairway with surrounding roughs on the last hole. Hole 5 which was perfectly placed on the edge of the fan zone area had two Goodyear Tires to putt under as well as the bank shot with a curved turn. This was one of the most enjoyable holes for the race attendees as they would stop and marvel on that design at first, then play the entertaining and challenging par 3 and then take pictures of themselves at this hole.
The weather cooperated for the most part and race fans as well as NASCAR and Coke Cola were thrilled with the engagement that this custom mini golf experience provided.
