American Heart Association Putt-Putt Activation

The American Heart Association began discussions with us in June in putting together a 5 city tour of a putt putt activation called Let's Get Your LDL on par. The activations would start in Pasadena, California in late October and Houston, Texas on the same weekend and proceed to San Antonio, Philadelphia and conclude in Miami, Florida. The American Heart Association was seeking a direct supplier who would be able to provide the same exact course for each city along with the same obstacles and accessories.

Once we were supplied with the title of the activation, the cities and the initial logistics, our course designers started the production process. We knew right away that our red turf along with the white rails would be the perfect fit to match the colors of the campaign that also had the tag line "Mini golf fun! Let's putt your heart first. "

While the activations were outside, there was limited space to create 3 unique holes. Our course designers created 3 putt putt holes with two of the holes having obstacles. One obstacle was a white railway bridge and the other obstacle was a red window pane that had 3 different size openings to putt through. Other considerations in designing this course included the overall weight for shipping purposes as The American Heart Association was working with a certain budget for the entire activation which included shipping, staff travel and branding.

The branding consisted of branded flags and turf logos on the bottom of white putter stands. Golf clubs were black red along with red kid's clubs and the miniature golf balls were red & white only.

The activations were less than 3 hours long and the throughput at each city far exceeded American Heart Association's objectives. They were so pleased that they let us know that they plan on doing it again in 2025.
